Position Type: Full Time; Salaried; Umhlali, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The position will begin as a contract role for the first six months.

Program and Position Overview: 

This is a combined role serving both the anti-trafficking program and the Umhali office that supports it. Roughly 70% of the position provides project coordination and administrative support to the anti-trafficking team, and roughly 30% provides day-to-day management of the office itself. We are looking for one capable, versatile person who can move comfortably between substantive project work and the practical work that keeps an office running well.

The Anti-Trafficking Project Coordinator & Office Manager will report to the Senior Director of Anti-Trafficking for the project coordination portion of the role, and to the Chief of Staff for the office management portion. The position will be based at our Program HQ in Umhlali, South Africa.

Key Responsibilities: 

The responsibilities of this position fall into four areas, with approximate time allocations noted.

Executive Support (±40%) — reporting to the Senior Director of Anti-Trafficking

  • Manage travel (multi-country field travel, visas, per diems) and expenses
  • Coordinate the AT meeting cycle (invites, agendas, minutes, ClickUp tasks)
  • Coordinate workshops, training and gatherings (logistics, materials, budget, travel)
  • Coordinate AT staff recruitment/onboarding logistics
  • Coordinate and track grant deadlines and deliverables; and assemble reports
  • Prepare field trip packs and the post-trip action list
  • Handle inbound marketing/fundraising requests
  • Coordinate new-country setup to completion for each new pilot
  • Prepare pre-read briefs before external calls
  • Maintain the partner and stakeholder contact database, flywheel
  • Administer AT comms channels (group membership, removals etc.)
  • Proofread and format for consistency across AT documents
  • Team care and culture admin (birthdays, recognition, retreats)
  • Attend and support AT prayer meetings and prayer ministry

Project Coordination (±30%)

  • Track and coordinate AT projects/labs to completion
  • Coordinate new-country setup to completion for each new pilot
  • Deliver assigned special projects (research, surveys, audits etc.), including written findings.
  • Conduct in-country operations reviews

Office & Operations Management (±30%) — reporting to the Chief of Staff

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the office, keeping common areas tidy, stocked, and functional.
  • Run local errands, including supplies, post, and collections.
  • Coordinate office logistics for meetings and visitors, including hosting and set-up.
  • Manage small office budgets, petty cash, receipts, and reconciliation.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and the building or landlord.
  • Provide occasional logistical assistance for staff and visiting guests, including travel and accommodation arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • Mission & Faith Alignment
    • Mature Christian faith and agreement with our Global Value to “Abide in Christ”
    • Knowledge, understanding, and agreement with how the Christian Gospel ministers to “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40) and guides us in our mission
    • Agreement with our Core Value “Be the Kingdom" (in mission execution and personal conduct)

    • Passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations.
  • Education & Experience
    • Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in project coordination, administration, operations, or office management
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to run local errands (required)
  • Competencies & Skills
    • Organizational Skills – Able to manage multiple projects and competing details accurately and on time
    • Service Orientation – Willing to do practical, hands-on work; no task is beneath this role
    • Prioritization Across Managers – Able to hold demands from two managers and flag conflicts early rather than letting work slip
    • Communication Abilities – Strong written and verbal skills for reports, presentations, and correspondence with a global team
    • Independent Work Ethic – Takes direction well and works with minimal supervision
    • Technical Proficiency – Competent with Google Workspace, project management tools, and basic financial administration.
